Rich Hill - Numbers

Continuing the Rich Hill gawking, I've dug into his last four home starts again, but this time to see what pitches might be most effective, and to see if there's anything that lends or detracts credibility from the categorization of pitches discussed below.

Here are the numbers first, but the percentages are a little more interesting




Now, check out the whiff rate (.444) on the cutter.



This raises several questions, and doesn't answer too many. The first that come to mind are
What are the pitch locations (when they cross the front of home plate) of these different pitches?
Will the plot distinguish itself at all like the release/break/velocity perspective? When a hitter swings, or takes, is it a strike or a ball?

These will be next. Although I have a hankerin' to look at Tim Wakefield that may distract me.
