Rich Hill's Four Pitches

from last four home starts

That's right, four pitches, at three speeds.

You can tell the two different "medium" pitches apart not just by movement, but also by his release point (or, in reality, where the ball is shortly after it has left his hand).

In sum, it's easy to see and name the fastball and the curveball, and I think we can call the others a slider and a cutter.

I know I'll be paying close attention to this tonight.
