Given he only had 1 2/3 innings left on his meter, the 1.1 Carlos Marmol threw today against Mexico just about ran out the tank. Oddly, the game was meaningless, as Licey was in the final game already (set for Thursday).
Marmol came in for the last out of the 8th inning. With runners on the corners, and Licey holding a 4-1 lead, Marmol struck out Jorge Padilla. It didn't go so well in the 9th. A single, a stolen base, and a one-out error by Ronnie Belliard put the score at 4-2 with Reggie Taylor on first.
Taylor came across on a triple to right by Carlos Valencia. After a visit from the pitching coach, Carlos gave up a game-tying infield hit and a bunt-single before getting a double-play to kill the rally. I wonder if the defense let Carlos down - on the triple, infield hit and bunt. We know Belliard was charged with one error.
By that point, the save was blown, along with Marmol's allotment of innings for the Series (we'll see if he's given an extra two-thirds for tomorrow's championship game). Marmol hit the showers while Mexico went on to win in the 10th inning.

I love the CBCG Entries list. Well done.
Hey 'dog - just grab the script block out of the source code - don't grab the generated text, just the script - to re-use it on ACB
I think I did it the hard way, but haven't noticed any problems yet. Great idea.
Feedtwister is cool. I checked out a couple others, it was the best and easiest.
I agree, Harry. I've messed around with others before and have never been happy, but this one loads really quick so I've been very pleased with it. I bookmarked it so I'm sure I'll use it again.
