One is the ideal #2 hitter, the other a bonafide #5. It just so happens to be the other way around from Lou's set-up. They have an explanation, but it makes no sense.
the hope is ... break up the Cubs' overload of right-handed hitters.
It may or may not be important to break-up the righty bats, but, um, now you have 2-4 righty instead of 3-5. What have we accomplished here?
This won't last - or it is simply a dress rehearsal for the Brian Roberts era.
