Because I can, I'm again looking at home game pitch speed for the Cubs' staff. In April, Zambrano owned the fastest pitch, but Woody, followed by Marmol, were throwing the most smoke. No big surprises this month, but Woody further cements his status as hardest thrower on the staff. All the numbers below include the month of May only, and for pitchers that are on the active roster today (June 1).
