Forget about unfortunately located foul tips and subsequent, and also unfortunately located, hematoma.

He was batting at the time, not catching.
Pretty serious injuries, but no concussion and no eye damage, amazingly. Check out the video at the link. He walks off, so he's still a tough guy.
