Freddy Garcia Injured in Venezuelan Winter League

Freddy Garcia left Thursday night's game after two innings with a muscle strain in his throwing shoulder, according to the official web site of his opponent, los Tigres de Aragua (and the best translation of contractura I could find). This obviously doesn't help his chances of getting a guaranteed contract this season.

Updated El Universal reports Freddy left the game with shoulder discomfort, and Magallenes official site (Garcia's team) has no additional detail, either.

Updated Update This article says he showed no sign of distress during his two innings of work. The AP (via MLB's Spanish language site) is reporting the same thing, saying he threw just 15 pitches without apparent issue.
