Or PCFCBPP, for short. Which is also the sound I'll make if Ryan Dempster stinks-up Chavez Ravine tonight.
Chad Billingsley is yet another quality young arm, right on the heels of Clayton Kershaw. Billingsley is 26-years old and will be making his 141st start for the Dodgers, including post-season. He's got quite the arsenal, so let's get down to it.
That's three breaking pitches (slider, curve, slow curve), three fastballs (sinker, heater, cutter) and a change-up. Or, based on his preferences, he's fastball/cutter/curve with a few other nuggets tossed in the mix. Quantities may vary. Product may contain peanuts.
The slow curve has become more of a weapon over time. The slider never caught on. What's remarkable is the spike in change-ups so far in 2011.
Check out the humps on those curveballs. Boy, howdy.
And, to reinforce the locations...
And all together now (like the flight paths, shown above).
